Admission in Post Matric Hostel Scheme –
The “Admission in Post Matric Hostel” scheme, launched on 1st January 1900, offers free accommodation to backward class students in Madhya Pradesh who are eligible for the Post Matric Scholarship and are studying in educational institutions near the hostel. This scheme aims to help students who are not local residents and provide them with a place to stay while pursuing their education.
Who Can Benefit from the Scheme:
This scheme is designed to provide accommodation for backward class students who meet the following criteria:
- Belong to a Backward Class.
- Study in an Educational Institution located near the hostel.
- Are Not Local Residents of the area.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Studying in a Nearby Institution: The applicant must be enrolled in an educational institution located near the hostel.
- Non-Resident: The applicant should not be a resident of the area where the hostel is located.
Application Process:
Offline Procedure:
- Visit the Relevant Office:
- Go to the Office of the Collector or Assistant Director, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department District Office.
- Request a hard copy of the prescribed application form.
- Fill in the Application Form:
- Complete all mandatory fields in the application form.
- Paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if necessary).
- Attach self-attested copies of all the required documents (if necessary).
- Submit the Application:
- Submit the filled and signed application form along with all the required documents to the concerned authority within the prescribed deadline (if any).
- Request for Acknowledgment:
- Ask for a receipt or acknowledgment from the authority where you submitted your application.
- Ensure the receipt includes important details like the date and time of submission and a unique identification number (if applicable).
