Bal Sakha Yojana –
The Bal Sakha Yojana is a heartwarming, community-based initiative aiming to provide support & protection for children in need. This incredible program is run by the Department of Women and Child Development, in partnership with NHM & the State Child Protection Society.
This scheme brings a dedicated network of trained volunteers called “Bal Sakhis” , who work across villages and urban areas. Their main mission is to identify & report cases of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. They also help families get the necessary support to ensure the well-being of their children.
Through this initiative, financial assistance is provided to those who need care & protection, focusing on children aged 0-18 years, especially from vulnerable backgrounds like BPL and Scheduled Caste families.
