The scheme aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for the residents of Delhi, particularly those with low income.

  • Financial Assistance: Get up to ₹5 Lakh for medical treatment or diagnostic tests at government hospitals or authorized institutions.
  • Coverage for Diagnostic Tests: Includes Ultrasound, Doppler Studies, Mammography, EEG, EMG, TMT, and ECHO from DGEHS empanelled diagnostic centers.
  • Comprehensive Support: The financial assistance covers tests and treatments for a variety of illnesses at Delhi Government hospitals or Central Government hospitals.

💡 Eligibility:

  • Resident of Delhi: You must have been a bonafide resident of Delhi for at least the last 3 years.
  • Income Limit: The annual family income must be up to ₹3 Lakh.
  • Treatment Requirement: The treatment must be in a government-run hospital or an empanelled institution (Delhi Government/ Central Government/ Autonomous Hospitals).

📋 Application Process:

You can apply online by following these steps:

  1. Download the Application Form: Visit the official website to get the form.
  2. Check Empanelled Hospitals: Ensure that your hospital is on the list of empanelled institutions.
  3. Fill Out the Application: Complete the application form with the necessary details.
  4. Document Submission: Submit the required documents, including income proof and domicile certificate, through the concerned hospital.
  5. Approval Process: The hospital sends the application to the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), which will review and approve it. Financial assistance is then sanctioned.
  6. Final Step: Once approved, the sanctioned amount is transferred to the hospital for your treatment. You will be informed by speed post and phone (if available).

📄 Documents Required:

  • Income Proof:
    • National Food Security Card (for income below ₹1 Lakh)
    • Income Certificate (for income up to ₹3 Lakh)
  • Domicile Proof (for the last 3 years):
    • Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Passport, or any similar document
  • For Minors:
    • Birth Certificate of the patient
    • Domicile proof of either parent (any of the above-mentioned documents)
