Delhi Ladli Scheme
The Delhi Ladli Scheme is a welfare initiative launched by the Department of Women & Children Development, Government of NCT of Delhi, to empower and support girl children born in Delhi. The scheme, which began on 1st January 2008, provides financial assistance through term deposits at various milestones in the life of a girl child, ensuring long-term benefits for her education and well-being.
💰 Benefits: Financial assistance is provided at different stages of the girl child’s life as follows:

Note: The maturity amount will depend on the stage at which the girl enters the scheme.
💡 Eligibility:
- The girl must be born in Delhi (Birth certificate issued by Registrar).
- The family must be a bonafide resident of Delhi for at least three years before the girl’s birth.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- If the girl is school-going, her school must be recognized by Delhi Govt./MCD/NDMC.
- Benefit is available for two surviving girls per family.
📋 Application Process: (Offline)
- Obtain the Application Form:
- The form can be obtained from the District Women and Child Development Officer (WCD), Govt. of Delhi, or from Govt. Recognized Schools.

- Submit the Form:
- Submit the completed application form with required documents to the respective District Office.
- For newborn girls, submit within one year of the birth.
- For school-going girls, submit within 90 days of admission.
📄 Documents Required:
- Three years of residence proof in Delhi prior to registration.
- Income Certificate or Affidavit showing the family’s annual income.
- Birth certificate of the girl child.
- Group photo of parents with the girl child.
- Caste certificate (if applicable) for SC/ST/OBC.
- Aadhaar Card of the parents and the child (if available).
