 Doodh Sanjivani Scheme – 

The Doodh Sanjivani Scheme, launched by the Women and Child Development Department in Gujarat, is a life-changing welfare initiative aimed at improving the nutritional health of children and mothers in tribal and underdeveloped communities. This scheme covers 138 tribal and developing communities across 20 districts and is implemented through Anganwadi centers.

The scheme focuses on providing nutritional support to children (6 months to 6 years) and pregnant & lactating mothers 🍼. It ensures that these groups receive fortified flavored milk to boost their health and well-being.

Benefits :

  1. For Children (6 months – 6 years):
    • 100 ml of fortified flavored milk 🥛 is provided 5 days a week to ensure proper growth and nutrition.
  2. For Pregnant & Lactating Mothers:
    • 200 ml of fortified flavored milk is given 2 days a week to support health during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Eligibility ✅

  • Children aged 6 months to 6 years or pregnant/lactating mothers.
  • Must be registered at an Anganwadi center to receive the benefits.

How to Apply :

The application process is offline. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Visit your nearest Anganwadi center.
  2. Register yourself or your child at the center.
  3. Submit required documents.
  4. Collect benefits on scheduled distribution days.

Documents Needed 📑

  • Birth Proof (for children).
  • Identity Proof (Aadhaar card, ration card, etc.).
  • Pregnancy Proof (for pregnant mothers, such as a medical certificate).
  • Other documents (if required by the Anganwadi center).
