Financial Assistance on Death/Disablement of Beneficiary :

The Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (CBOCWWB) has launched a Financial Assistance Scheme aimed at providing support to registered construction workers who suffer from accidents or pass away while on the job. This scheme offers financial aid to those affected by death or disability.

🌟 Benefits: Here’s the financial support you can expect under this scheme:

1. Ex-Gratia Grant to Widow Dependent (in case of worker’s death) – ₹50,000
2. Full Disability Grant (for 100% disability due to accident) – ₹25,000
3. Partial Disability Grant (for 50% disability due to accident) – ₹15,000

🎯 Eligibility:

• You must be a registered construction worker under the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965.
• If applying for death benefits, the widow must apply within one year of the death.
• Construction workers with full or partial disability due to accidents are eligible.
• The beneficiary cannot have received financial assistance from any other government body for the same cause.

How to Apply :

1. Visit the Labour Department Chandigarh website
2. Register:
   • Click on ‘Register’ and fill in required details.
   • Enter OTP sent to email & mobile.
3. Login using your newly created credentials.
4. Select ‘Apply for Services’, search for BOCW and fill out the application form.
5. Upload Documents like Aadhaar, Death/Disability Certificate, Bank Details, etc.
6. Submit and make the payment if required.
7. Print Acknowledgment Receipt for your reference!

•  Aadhaar Card (for both applicant & nominee)
•  Disability Certificate (if applying for disability grant)
•  Death Certificate (if applying for death claim)
