The “Free Caste Hostel” scheme, offered by the Department of De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Welfare, Madhya Pradesh, provides monthly scholarships to eligible students from De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic tribes. The scholarship amount is ₹1,230 per month for boys and ₹1,270 per month for girls, provided for a duration of 10 months. The scheme is designed to support students who are pursuing their education in local educational institutions.

Who Can Benefit from the Scheme:

This scheme is intended for students who meet the following criteria:

1. Belong to De-notified, Nomadic, or Semi-Nomadic Tribes.
2. Study in a Local Educational Institution within Madhya Pradesh.
3. Apply for Admission before the start of the new academic session.
4. Secure a Vacant Seat: New admissions depend on seat availability.
5. Higher Percentage in Last Examination: Students with higher percentages in the previous examination will be given priority for admission.

• The scholarship is provided for 10 months, ensuring financial support throughout the academic year.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the scholarship under this scheme, the applicant must meet the following conditions:

1. Tribal Category: The applicant should belong to the De-notified, Nomadic, or Semi-Nomadic tribes recognized by the government.
2. Study in a Local Educational Institution: The applicant must be studying in a local school or college.
3. Apply Before the Academic Session: The applicant should submit the application before the new academic session begins.
4. Vacant Seat: The applicant must secure a vacant seat as new admissions are subject to availability.
5. Higher Marks in Last Examination: Students with better scores in the last passed examination will have priority in admissions.

Online Registration and Application Process:

Step 1: Registration

1. Visit the Samarth Portal.
2. On the homepage, navigate to the top right corner and click “Registration”.
3. Provide the required details (fields marked with * are mandatory). If necessary, verify your Mobile Number and/or Email ID via OTP.
4. Click “Register” to complete the registration.

Step 2: Application

1. Visit the Samarth Portal again.
2. Log in using the credentials you created during the registration process.
3. Find and navigate to the online application form for the “Free Caste Hostel” scheme.
4. Fill in all mandatory fields in the form and upload the necessary documents in the specified format and size.
5. Review your information carefully and make any necessary corrections.
6. Acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions, declaration, and privacy policy (if applicable).
7. Click “Submit” to finalize your application.
