The Indira Gandhi National Vridhavastha Pension Yojana aims to provide financial assistance to elderly citizens of Madhya Pradesh whose families are living below the poverty line. Under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, this scheme ensures that senior citizens receive a monthly pension to help with their basic needs.

Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant must be 60 years or older.
- The applicant must belong to a family below the poverty line as defined by the Government of India.
Application Process:
Offline:
- The applicant can submit their application in the prescribed format along with necessary documents at the designated office, Gram Panchayat, or Public Service Center.
- Once the application is submitted, the applicant will receive an acknowledgment.
- The documents will be scrutinized by the relevant authorities like District Panchayat/ Gram Panchayat/ Urban Body/ Ward Office.
- If the documents are not valid, the application will be rejected, and the applicant will receive a rejection notice.
- If the documents are found to be correct, the pension case will be approved.
- The beneficiary’s name will be added to the pension list, and the approved order will be recorded.
- The pension amount will be directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account each month.
