Financial Assistance for Marriage of Daughters of Registered Construction Workers
The Uttar Pradesh government offers financial assistance to registered construction workers for the marriage of their daughters or for registered female workers. This scheme also promotes legal and socially responsible marriages while offering special support for inter-caste and group marriages.
Benefits:
- For regular marriage: ₹55,000.
- For inter-caste marriage: ₹61,000.
- For group marriage (minimum 11 couples): ₹65,000, plus ₹7,000 per couple for the organizer.
- Dress expenses: ₹5,000 for the bride and ₹5,000 for the groom, transferred one week before the marriage date.
- For self-marriage of registered women workers: Same amount as regular marriage if they haven’t already received benefits under this scheme.
Eligibility:
- Registered construction workers who have been members for at least 365 days.
- Application must be made within 1 year of marriage (or 15 days before mass marriage).
- The daughter and groom must meet the legal age requirements: 18 years for the daughter and 21 years for the groom.
- Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for the daughter.
- Benefit is limited to 2 children per worker.
Application Process (Online):
- Apply through the Public Service Center or Board website.
- Submit all required documents within 1 year of the marriage (or 15 days before mass marriage).
- Ensure the daughter and groom meet the age requirements.
Documents Required:
- Birth certificate or School Leaving Certificate for age proof.
- Marriage card verified by the local authority.
- Adoption records if applicable.
- Family register or ration card of the worker.
- Photographs of the bride and groom, attested by the worker.
- Self-declaration certificate confirming employment in construction for at least 90 days in the last year.
- Self-declaration letter confirming no benefits have been received from other similar schemes.
- Death certificate (if applicable for remarriage).
