🚜 Mukhyamantri Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana – Empowering Cattle Farmers in Uttar Pradesh

Under the Nand Baba Milk Mission, this initiative aims at improving the breed of indigenous cows and increasing milk productivity in Uttar Pradesh. With Uttar Pradesh being the country’s leader in milk production  this scheme will bring massive benefits to local cattle farmers

  Objectives:

1. Promote Indigenous Cow Breeds  – Boost the trend of rearing high-quality indigenous breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, and more.
2. Encourage Better Care & Health  – Focus on breed improvement, quality nutrition, and health protection for cows.
3. Boost Farmers’ Income  – Increase milk productivity, directly benefiting cattle farmers financially.
4. Enhance Milk Availability  – Help bring per capita milk availability in Uttar Pradesh to national standards.

Benefits:

• 💸 Cash rewards of ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 per cow for high productivity and improved breeds.

✔️ Eligibility:

1. Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh .
2. Age 18 years or above .
3. Only individual cattle farmers are eligible (no groups, firms, or organizations).
4. Only indigenous cow breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, etc. are eligible .
5. Cattle farmers can avail the benefit once per cow (maximum 2 cows).
6. The incentive can be claimed only once in the lifetime of the cow .

📝 How to Apply (Offline Process):

1. Download the application form from the official website .
2. Fill in the mandatory details and attach required documents .
3. Submit the form to the Chief Development Officer or Chief Veterinary Officer .
4. Get a receipt/acknowledgment with all essential details for future reference .

📑 Required Documents:

• Passport-size photo
• Aadhar Card
• Cow Identification certificate (microchips/ear tagging)
• Cow’s Operational Insurance
• Bank Passbook/Cheque
• Full Photograph of the applicant with the cow
• Affidavit stating the cow will not be slaughtered

NOTE– Apply Within 45 Days of Calving!
