Shree Nanaji Deshmukh Awas Yojana: Empowering Construction Workers with Affordable Housing

The Shree Nanaji Deshmukh Awas Yojana is a government initiative by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), under the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, aimed at providing financial assistance to construction workers for housing. This scheme specifically benefits workers in urban areas who have been allotted EWS/LIG houses under the Chief Minister/Prime Minister Awas Yojana.

With the purpose of ensuring better living conditions and enhancing the well-being of construction workers and their families, this scheme offers ₹1,60,000/- in financial assistance for house construction or maintenance.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • 💵 ₹1,60,000 Financial Assistance: The scheme provides a financial grant of ₹1,60,000 to registered construction workers for the construction or maintenance of their house.
  •  One-Time Benefit: The benefit is provided once per family of a registered construction worker.
  • Time Frame: The application can be made after one year of receiving the house allotment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The construction worker must be registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board.
  • The benefit is applicable for families where either the husband or wife is a registered construction worker and they have been allotted a house under the Chief Minister/Prime Minister Awas Yojana.
  • The construction worker and their family must not own any land, property, or building.
  • ✅ Minimum Registration Period: The construction worker should have been registered for at least 2 years to be eligible for this scheme.

Application Process:

The Shree Nanaji Deshmukh Awas Yojana application can be done online through the following steps:

Step 1: E-Nirman Card Registration
  1. 🌐 Visit the e-Nirman Portal: e-Nirman Portal
  2. Click on ‘Please Register Here’ and fill in the required information to register.
  3. After successful registration, log in with your User ID and Password.
  4. 📝 Update Profile with the necessary details and click ‘Update’.
  5. Select the ‘Construction Works Form’, fill it out, and submit the form.
  6. Once submitted, a unique application number will be generated for future reference.
Step 2: Track Application Status
  1. Visit the e-Nirman Portal.
  2. Click on ‘View Citizen Application Status’.
  3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Click ‘View Status’ to track your application.
Step 3: Apply for Scheme Benefit
  1. 🌐 Visit the Sanman Portal: Sanman Portal
  2. Click on ‘Please Register Here’ under the ‘Citizen Login’ tab.
  3. Enter Aadhaar Card Number, select user type, and enter E-Nirman Card Number.
  4.  Submit the details and register.
  5. After successful registration, login using your User ID and Password.
  6. Select the scheme, fill out the application form, and upload the required documents.
  7. Agree to the terms & conditions and submit the form. A confirmation email with your application number will be sent to your registered email.

Post-Application Process:

  1. After submission, the application will be verified by the District Project Manager and sent for approval.
  2. The District Inspector will review and forward it to the Head Office.
  3. The State Project Manager will verify the application and send it to the Government Labour Officer (GLO).
  4. Once approved, the Demand Draft (DD) will be issued, assisted by the Accounts Officer, and sent to the Authority.

Required Documents:

For E-Nirman Card under GBOCWWB:

  •  Photograph of the worker
  • Aadhaar Card and Ration Card
  • Caste Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of Age (Birth Certificate, Voter ID, PAN Card, etc.)
  • Self-declaration Certificate
  • Employer Certificate
  • Bank Passbook or Cancelled Cheque
  • Any other documents as required.

For Scheme Benefit:

  • e-Nirman Card of the worker
  •  Passport-size Photograph
  • Identity Card of the beneficiary
  • House Allotment Letter
  • Payment Letter for house instalments
  • Aadhaar Card, Election Card, and Residence Proof
  • Rent Agreement/Rent Receipt or Letter from Landlord
  • Tax Bill from the local municipality
  • Affidavit (if applicable)
