Supply of Tri-Cycles

The “Supply of Tri-Cycles” scheme, launched by the Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (CBOCWWB) under the Labour Department of Chandigarh, aims to assist disabled construction workers and their dependents. This scheme provides a one-time supply of tri-cycles to registered construction workers who are disabled, helping them gain mobility and independence.

Benefits of the Scheme:

• Tri-Cycles Provided: Disabled registered construction workers and their dependents are eligible to receive a tri-cycle once in a lifetime.
• Mobility Assistance: The tri-cycles help improve the mobility of disabled construction workers, allowing them to perform their daily tasks more effectively.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Registration Requirement: The beneficiary must be a construction worker employed in an establishment that is registered under the Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965, and their contributions toward the labour welfare fund must be regularly received by the Board.
• Disability Certificate: The applicant must produce a disability certificate issued by a competent authority to prove their disability.
• Membership Duration: The applicant must have been a member of the Board for at least 6 months before they can avail the benefits of the scheme.
• One-time Benefit: The tri-cycle is provided only once in a lifetime.

Application Process:

Registration Process for Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (CBOCWWB):

1. Step 1: Visit the official website of the Labour Department, Chandigarh at labour.chd.gov.in.
2. Step 2: Click on ‘Click Here for Registration’ on the homepage. A registration page will open. Fill in all the required details and submit.
3. Step 3: An OTP will be sent to your registered email and mobile number. Enter the OTP to complete the registration. Note down your User ID and Password for future use.
4. Step 4: After registration, go to the Login page, enter your Login ID and Password, and click Login.
5. Step 5: Once logged in, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and search for ‘BOCW Application for Registration as a New Member/Renewal’.
6. Step 6: Download the CBOCW form, fill in the required information, and upload it.
7. Step 7: Attach all mandatory annexures and save them.
8. Step 8: Complete the payment process and proceed.
9. Step 9: An acknowledgment receipt will be generated.

Application Process for the Tri-Cycle Scheme:

1. Step 1: Visit the Labour Department Chandigarh website again at labour.chd.gov.in.
2. Step 2: On the homepage, select ‘SUPPLY OF TRI-CYCLES’ under the Grant of Welfare Schemes section.
3. Step 3: Read the scheme details and click on ‘Click here to Apply/Register’ at the bottom of the page. (You can also read the user manual here.)
4. Step 4: If you are not registered, click on ‘Register Yourself’. A ServicePlus window will open; fill in all details to complete the registration.
5. Step 5: After registration, log in using your ServicePlus credentials (User ID & Password).
6. Step 6: Once logged in, you will be directed to the online application page. Select the ‘Tri-Cycle for Disabled’ scheme and fill in the required details such as personal information and workplace details.
7. Step 7: Click on ‘Self-Declaration’ and enter any additional details required.
8. Step 8: Enter the verification code (Captcha) and click Submit.
9. Step 9: Review all entered details and click on ‘Attach Annexure’.
10. Step 10: Upload all the necessary documents and click ‘Save Annexure’.
11. Step 11: Once everything is confirmed, click Submit.
12. Step 12: Take a printout of the Acknowledgment Receipt for future reference.

Tracking Application Status:

• To track your application status, log in to the Labour Department website using your User ID and Password.
• Click on ‘Track Application Status’, fill in the required details, and click ‘Get Data’ to view the status.

For Registration under CBOCWWB:

• Passport-sized photograph
• Filled and signed form of CBOCW Board
• Copy of Aadhaar Card of the applicant
• BOCW Card (if available)
• Copy of Aadhaar Card of the nominee
• Bank details (Bank Passbook, etc.)
• Receipt of payment
• Any other relevant documents

For Grant of Welfare Schemes (Tri-Cycle):

• Passport-sized photograph
• Copy of Aadhaar Card of the applicant
• Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority
• Original Bill of the article purchased (Tri-Cycle)
• Bank account details (Bank Passbook)
• Copy of the salary slip (for the worker)
• Any other relevant documents
