BOB LBO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

What is the Educational Qualification for BOB LBO Recruitment 2026?

Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution. The following professional certifications are preferred but not mandatory:

  • IC-38 from the Insurance Institute of India
  • NISM Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination

Is Work Experience Required for BOB LBO Recruitment 2026?

Yes. Candidates need a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. Experience of less than 6 months as on 1 August 2026 is not counted (unless it is part of current employment), and experience in the clerical cadre is not considered for eligibility.

Syllabus

Salary / Pay Scale for BOB Local Bank Officer

The Local Bank Officer post carries the JMG/Scale-I pay scale: β‚Ή48,480 – 2,000(7) – β‚Ή62,480 – 2,340(2) – β‚Ή67,160 – 2,680(7) – β‚Ή85,920.

  • Starting basic pay: β‚Ή48,480
  • Candidates with 1 year or more of officer-level banking experience get one advance increment.
  • Salary and allowances are governed by the industry-level bipartite settlement/Joint Note applicable to bank officers, and include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and other bank-specific allowances and perquisites as per Bank of Baroda’s policies.

Service Bond

Selected candidates must execute a service bond and serve Bank of Baroda for a minimum of 3 years after joining. Candidates who leave before completing 3 years of active service must pay an amount equal to 3 months’ gross salary, subject to a maximum of β‚Ή2 lakh. Job Profile & Posting

As a Local Bank Officer (JMG/S-I), selected candidates will handle a mix of branch banking, credit and business-development responsibilities, including:

  • Day-to-day branch operations β€” customer service, account management, cash handling and remittances, as per Bank policy.
  • Processing and appraising credit proposals across retail, agriculture, MSME and other loan segments, including documentation, monitoring and recovery.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, KYC/AML norms, audit requirements and fraud-prevention measures.
  • Supporting branch administration β€” staff coordination, MIS/regulatory reporting, and implementation of Bank initiatives.
  • Driving business growth through deposit mobilisation, customer acquisition, and marketing of banking and digital products to meet assigned targets.
  • Building customer relationships through local outreach, referrals and need-based banking solutions, using local-language proficiency and market knowledge.

FAQs

Are freshers eligible to apply for BOB LBO Recruitment 2026?

No. BOB LBO 2026 requires a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI. Freshers without this experience cannot apply.

Can I apply for more than one state in BOB LBO 2026?
